CAMPSITE PANINI

An Italian take on a grilled cheese sandwich with mortadella, pesto, and creamy Taleggio. Prepare the panini at home and brush them with olive oil. This sandwich can be eaten on the go, but be careful! When pressed together, the melted cheese might ooze out.

Ingredients:

8 slices mortadella
8 slices Taleggio cheese
4 tbsp pesto
8 sun-dried tomatoes
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
8 slices sourdough bread

Instructions:

PREPARE AT HOME
01 Prepare the panini sandwiches at home. Spread pesto on the inside of the bread slices and brush the outside with olive oil. Wrap them in parchment paper.
COOK OUTDOORS
01 Take out the sandwiches and grill them in a sandwich press or by pressing them with a frying pan. You can also keep the parchment paper on if it makes handling easier.
02 Once the cheese starts melting, the panini are ready to serve.
