Preparedness with Primus

Prepared for the unexpected

Preparedness is about being ready for the unexpected, such as power outages, extreme weather, or other situations where everyday life doesn’t function as usual. Everyday preparedness is built on the same foundation as outdoor life: having the right equipment and knowledge to cook food, stay warm, and take care of yourself and your family — whether at home or out in nature.

Primus are experts in portable cooking, and we want to help you be prepared with food and cooking in situations where you don’t have access to electricity. Here you’ll find kits for cooking without electricity, along with useful tips for building your everyday emergency preparedness.

ALL-IN-ONE STOVE KITS

COOK WITHOUT ELECTRICITY

Our ready-made kits make it easy to cook without electricity during power outages and other situations where everyday life doesn’t function as usual. Our gas stoves are designed for outdoor use or for use in a well-ventilated area. Choose between kits for smaller households, families, larger groups and experienced preppers — all including gas stoves, cookware and gas.

The stoves are developed for outdoor use and are perfect for day trips, hiking and camping. They are easy to use, and if you’re new to outdoor cooking, our guides will help you get started. We also recommend practising with your stove outdoors, so you know how it works when you really need it.

GET PREPARED

Go outdoors – get to know your stove

Our gas stoves are built to be used. Even if you buy a stove to be prepared for a power outage or another unexpected situation, you’re also getting an outdoor cooking product for camping, day trips and cooking outside. The more you use your stove in everyday life and out in nature, the better prepared you’ll be the day you actually need it. The stoves are also built to last and can be serviced and repaired with spare parts over time.

What can I cook on my gas stove?

Once you have a gas stove, you also need to plan and prepare food and water — calculate around 3–5 litres per person per day. Browse our recipes for inspiration on what you can cook on your stove.
